Post-doctoral Fellowships

The overall goal of post-doctoral research training at The Institute is to prepare scientists to use techniques of health services research throughout their careers in academic medicine or health policy.

VA Hospital, White River Junction VT

The Institute is committed to collaborative research based on the use of diverse methods and interdisciplinary approaches, and to understanding the primacy of the patient in the rational use of health care.

Upon completion of their post-doctoral training, graduates should be capable of assuming leadership roles in the development and direction of sophisticated health services research.

The Institute offers three post-doctoral programs, involving the in-depth pursuit of research on a specific problem, under the mentorship of one or more faculty members:

NRSA Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Available to candidates with PhDs and clinical doctorates. [link to NRSA program]

The VA National Quality Scholars Fellowship Program
